Decade is not a regular “best of” put together, but a mix of previous unreleased songs like “Down to the Wire” and “Campaigner” and songs from earlier albums including Buffalo Springfield songs. Also, alternate versions of some songs in addition to a live performance of “The Needle and the Damage Done”.
There are four completely new songs and these are, besides the already mentioned, “Love is a Rose” with clear resemblance to "Dance Dance Dance" and “Deep Forbidden Lake”, both originally recorded for the unreleased Homegrown album.
Besides this, there is a collection of some of Neil’s “best songs”, like always it could be argued if the right selection was done.
